Seher is a photographer, writer, and community facilitator based in Brooklyn with a deep love for infusing a healing ethos into everything she does.
In early 2018, Seher’s poetry along with Nayyirah Waheed’s served as inspiration for an exhibition on healing and identity centering women of color visual artists in South Africa. As a community facilitator, Seher creates space for and guides heart-centered group dialogue, hosts multidisciplinary women’s workshops, and teaches qigong. Her photography clients include adidas, Refinery29, Red Bull, HBO, Casper, Google, and Afropunk.
A source of gratitude for Seher is her ‘Testimonies from the Table’ book project; a collection of portraits and firsthand narratives illuminating and honoring the lived experiences of 61 black women in America. The project was created in celebration of Solange’s landmark interdisciplinary performance piece at the Guggenheim in May 2017.
