Ethan is a filmmaker and CEO of Hover Pictures. 11 years ago while working as a middle school ESL teacher on the LES of Manhattan - inspired by the adage ‘transformation requires a witness’ - he bought a DSLR camera and fell in love. Three years later his short film the Last Waterman of Wittman won a Vimeo staff pick award and went on to play at festivals around the country. Since then he has led teams in creating work for dozens of brands and organizations such as Drug Policy Alliance, New Schools Venture Fund, Dell Innovation, Shell Rotella, Sargento Cheese, Niroga Institute, Adoptions Together, Rockefeller Foundation, BRAC, MEDIACOM, and IMEU, and has taught workshops on storytelling and media-making around the world.
Hover PicturesIn 2013, Ethan founded Hover Pictures, a premium content production company, now with bases in NYC and San Francisco, CA. We are fascinated by real people and their stories of transformation, healing, and consciousness expansion. We create immersive films, videos and VR/AR/360 experiences in multidisciplinary studio context.
