Paying attention to body & mind and treating yourself with care are central to healthy self-esteem regulation. But too few young people are equipped with the tools, outlets and understanding to healthily regulate their own feelings of self.
In BLEEKER’s June workshop, we will design simple, open-sourced solutions that address this problem harnessing one of our greatest public resources + civic spaces: the public library.
Each participating team will design a program that can be used by parents, guardians or educators to build a healthy esteem foundation in the young people under their care. The solution can be designed on behalf of any population of young people in any US community. But a local public library must be central to the design of each solution.
A representative from the New York Public Library will be on hand to observe the final presentations at the end of the day. RSVP for this session here.
